The End of the Skiing Season in Harrachov

The drop in temperatures, which lasted throughout the Easter weekend, was perfect for the conditions on the slopes of Harrachov. Therefore, you can still expect great skiing even this week. It can be said, with a slight overstatement, that it will remind you of skiing on Alpine glaciers. As it was planned, the cableway from the centre of Harrachov to Čertova hora is still running, along with the adjacent Červená II slope and the small “Doplik“ ski tow. All of them will be running for the whole week from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The forthcoming weekend (April 14–15, 2012) will offer you the last opportunity to go downhill skiing in the Harrachov skiing centre. Do not hesitate to let your skis have this season’s last pleasure of the snow in Harrachov before their long summer sleep!

From April 16 to April 27, 2012 the operation of the cableway from Harrachov to Čertova hora will be interrupted. It will start running again on Saturday, April 28, 2012, when it will be following the regular summer schedule, which you can find on this website: www.skiareal.com. Therefore, the public holidays in May (May 1 and 8) will be an ideal opportunity to use the Harrachov cableway, for example for your first spring cycling or hiking trip in the mountains of the western Krkonoše.
